A New Arrival by: Lindsay Hays

Over the years of the blog you have probably seen some posts with Grandma Lois (Grammy’s Mom) in them. She has been living in a nice nursing home. However, since the shutdown it has been harder to visit her. So, a while back Grammy, her sister, Uncle Joe, and Aunt Heather put this plan into motion… Aunt Heather left her job at a nursing home and offered Grandma the option of living in Joe and Heather’s house with them. Last Monday she officially moved in. Aunt Heather has been a saint. She has been so busy getting the house ready for Grandma, but she would agree when saying it has been worth it. Giving Grandma the happiness of spending time with her family is definitely worth it. I am looking forward to this weekend when I will be back up there and get to see her!

The kids absolutely love having Grandma live with them. Brookie looks so happy in this picture!

Aunt Heather says that Brookie will not leave Grandma’s side. Here they are reading Brook’s children Bible. So sweet! Oh! And did I mention that Grandma is 98 years old?!?! She will be 99 here in a couple months! Isn’t that amazing?!?! She is looking really well and getting around excellently.

The last picture I have is Jakey’s paper that he brought home from school. God and Grandma are what he is most thankful for. He’s such a sweetie!!!

So, now you know that news! I’ll get a few more pictures while I’m up there this weekend, and I’ll try to update you again! But for now we are all happy that we get to see Grandma Lois and that she is happy to be around family again!
