Good morning! How is everyone this morning? Good I hope.
I’m sitting here in my nice warm office listening to the cold, unsympathetic wind howling outside my window and I decided I should share with you a nice, hearty, easy, roast recipe. Because this is the type of weather that calls for a roast.
And I must actually give credit to my friend, as she is the one who gave me the recipe. But I made it last night, and it was delicious. And it’s so simple! So here goes…
Place one 3-pound roast in your crockpot. Add one stick butter, 1 package ranch seasoning, and 1 package Au Jus Gravy on top of the roast. Add 5 to 8 pepperoncini peppers and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours. So simple!
Now, I must admit a couple things. First, I forgot to set my roast out the night before. So, I just put the frozen roast in the crockpot and cooked it. It worked great. Though I cooked it for closer to 8-9 hours. Second, I was tempted to leave out the pepperoncini peppers. I don’t like spicy and I wasn’t sure how hot those little suckers were. But Sam assured me it wouldn’t be too hot, so I added 5 peppers. And I’m glad I did. They were not overpowering at all. In fact, I may get brave the next time I make it and add a couple more just for fun. I’m so daring.
So anyway, if you’re wondering what to have for supper tonight, give this a try. It’s delicious!
Enjoy your roast, and have a great day!
