So, I kind of messed up on the last blog. Sorry if the blog was a little confusing/grammatically incorrect. You see, I typically type my thoughts in story/conversation form first. Then Mom comes along and proofreads it. She’s great at it and it’s only nice of me to let her do it (joking)! Anyway, I sent the blog to her and she sent it back with the updated version. I went through and accepted all the corrections. Then saved the blog and sent it off to be published. Well, I forgot one important step. The updated file was saved in downloads instead of my blog folder. So, the original blog that I had just typed up quick was the one posted. Slightly embarrassing.
After this little incident Mom may be out of a job. She’ll be heartbroken I’m sure! Because I do believe I will be editing and proofreading the blog from now on. I’d really rather prevent the risk of it ever happening again. Unfortunately, it seems to take embarrassing moments to learn best.
So that’s me owning my mistake and hopefully I have learned from it. I think that’s the important thing. We all mess up and make mistakes, but it’s what we do with that knowledge that really counts. We all wish mistakes wouldn’t happen, but the thing is we can’t wish them away. We actually have to change/tweak something in our life to make that “correction” happen. For this mistake it’s simply proofreading my own blog. I’m perfectly capable of it, but it’s still not much fun. In the end I think it will be worth it though.
Anyway, there’s my two cents (yes, I know no one asked 😊) and an explanation of what happened.
