Our week thus far has consisted of working cattle. Lots of cattle. And as part of that, we’ve been collecting DNA samples on some calves.
See that chunk of black and white within the tube? That’s a small piece of the calf’s ear. And it’s fascinating to me that they can take that chunk of tissue and determine the parentage of the animal. They are also working on determining the performance of the animal by that little piece of flesh. Pretty crazy. Makes me want to start a DNA lab. Lol.
