Iowa Angus Tour

We were the last stop on the Iowa Angus Association tour on Sunday. What a fun day!

We started our leg of the tour with Cowboy Church. This was something we’ve never done before, but I thought it was awesome. Lindsay, Jessica, and Cody played two songs…which I thought were amazing. They’d practiced the night before and I cried. It was just so good. (And I’m not biased at all:) Then Dad gave the sermon on Romans 8:18-25 and I really enjoyed that, too.

After church, we enjoyed a wonderful meal prepared by Heather. Yum!

And then we headed down to the testing center where Joe explained how the feed intake test works.

And I talked about the data and how we interpret it.

Matt got all puffed up about his mom giving a riveting explanation of feed efficiency. Lol. Just kidding. Lindsay liked this picture, so I thought I better include it.

We had a great time visiting with everyone and meeting new people.

It’s always fun to host a tour…and it’s always good when it’s over and we can breathe a big sigh of relief that the “big cleanup” is over. Ha!

Have a great day!

  1. It looked like a great time and enjoyed your pictures. I can’t believe Heather had to feed all those people. She sure deserves a night out where somebody else does the cooking.

  2. Wow, sorry I missed out helping for this tour! Ha Ha. Looks like it went really well. Hope you all recover and that Heather had some help with the meal. Know she did.
Listening to the kids play for me this summer made me cry too. They are really good. Mom would have been so proud!
