Lindsay’s Graduation

Way back in the beginning of June (it seems like forever ago!) we celebrated Lindsay’s graduation. She graduated with honors and number-one-in-class from Hays Homeschooling;)
Way to go, Linds!

Lindsay is the first of the grandchildren to graduate from high school, so the whole “graduation party” was a new experience for us. But Lindsay wanted to keep it simple and relaxed, so that’s exactly what we did.

We played cornhole.

Perfect form, Heather!

We had a cookout. (There was a little trouble lighting the grill, but nothing these men couldn’t handle.)

We ate…

We visited…
And we just had a great time.

We are so proud of you, Lindsay, and are excited to see what God has in store for your future!

And I couldn’t leave without showing you this absolutely adorable sequence of pictures. My sweet nephew found a new friend at the party.
Here is how I imagine the conversation going.
“Whoa! Who is this cute little blonde girl I’ve never seen before?” wondered my sweet nephew.

And right now, I imagine he walked right over and pulled out his best Joey Tribbiani impression… ”How YOU doin’?”

Just kidding. I’m pretty sure he asked her what her name was and if she would like to play.

But I was just thankful he didn’t knock her off her perch and tackle her. That’s his typical way of letting a girl know he likes her. I know this because he was going to a birthday party the other day and he said he hoped these girls would be there because he was going to chase them and tackle them. When I asked why on earth he would do such a thing, he replied, “Cause I like them.”

Hmm. I tried to encourage him to try another tactic, but to no avail. That’s my nephew-the heartbreaker.

Hope you have a great day!
