Maryville Rodeo

I absolutely love this picture of Matt. Heather took it this weekend at the Maryville rodeo, and I want to frame it. When she texted it to me, I got tears in my eyes. I know, I’m weird that way. I can cry at the drop of a hat. A song can come on the radio, and the next thing I know I’m a blubbering mess. Or the really embarrassing times are when I’m sitting in church and a song just makes me weep. I always have to lean over and use Will’s sleeve as a Kleenex. (Just kidding! I don’t really do that.) But I’m not alone in that, right? You guys do that too, right? Not the part about using your husband’s sleeve as a Kleenex, but the crying at the drop of a hat. Everybody does that right? Good. I’d hate to be the only one.

Anyway, Matt and Rhett both roped in the rodeo this weekend and we had a great time.

Neither one came home the winner, but both boys did a good job.

And then, after Heather sent me the first picture, she sent me this one. And I choked up all over again. This picture is awesome, too. I think I should frame them both.

I love the focus and determination and poise of my boys, and I love the intense posture of the horses. Priceless…in my opinion.

Thank you, Heather!

Have a great day!

  1. The grand entry with the American flag and the National Anthem choked me up. It was a beautiful presentation. We live in a great country! I am so proud of my boys.
