We received the ICA (Iowa Cattlemen’s Association) bulls this week. (“We” is a very loose term as I just showed up, took some pictures, and went on with my day:). There were lots of trucks and trailers in and out that day.
The chute crew was ready to start working as soon as the bulls were unloaded. They would read and write the tag number down not once…
Not twice…
But three times, as there were several records to keep straight. Then they were able to tell which tag goes with each bull.
They also took some samples, gave a shot, and put an EID in the bull’s ear.
They had a great crew, and the bulls were soon able to go to their pen and relax.
Hope you have a great week!
