Sleepover at Grammy’s – By: Jessica Hays

On Friday, Mom, Lindsay, and I went up to Grampy and Grammy’s and had a sleepover. Since it was Mom’s birthday Saturday, Grampy and Grammy took all the family that could go out to eat to celebrate. Rhett had a game that night and Aunt Bon and Uncle Will went to watch him and Ashtyn had something else going on so they weren’t able to make it. We picked Matt and Abby up when we got up there. The adults sat at one table and the kids sat at another table. I think we all had a lot of fun and all the moms were glad they didn’t have to cook.

After we got done eating, Uncle Joe and Aunt Heather dropped their kids off at Grammy’s for the sleepover. We tried to settle in to watch the Rounders (one of Grampy’s favorite movies) but some of the younger kids were too excited that they just kept running around.

When the movie got over, we tried to put the kids to bed but it took a while for them to get to sleep.

The next morning Ty, Jake, and Emma wanted to play Battle Ship so I tried to teach them how to play. Ty was pretty good at it and liked to help Jake and Emma out by telling them where his boats were!
