Tagging Calves

We (as in the Larson’s) had our first baby calf this weekend. So, we saddled up to go tag it.

Abby decided she would like to try to rope some babies this year, so here she is getting some last-minute instructions.

She rode in close, took a good shot, and missed. Bummer. But it was close and I’m sure she’ll catch one before we are done calving.

But have no fear–here brother was near!

And in far less time than it took to saddle the horses, we were done tagging! But it was a nice day (albeit cloudy,) and tagging calves with the whole family is one of my favorite activities, so it was well worth it.
