Rhett and Cody were in a fishing tournament this weekend. It was a cold and drizzly day and I didn’t think they would have any luck fishing, but boy was I wrong. And I think they had a great time as I didn’t see these guys all day. I mean they literally fished from 10:00 to 7:00. Well, they did stop for lunch, but they went to Grammy’s so I didn’t get to visit with them.
And, they would send Grandma Martha pictures of their big fish, but they forgot to send them to Aunt Aimie or me. Luckily, Grandma Martha forwarded them to us so we did get periodic updates throughout the day.
By the end of the day, the boys had lost count of how many fish they’d caught. They won the tournament for biggest bass, most fish caught, and heaviest stringer. And they almost won the biggest crappie, but someone else had one three ounces heavier.
All in all, they had a great day. They had a successful tournament, but more importantly, they got to hang out and do something they both enjoy. What a blessing to have cousins!
