We’ve acquired a couple new kitties recently. Their original purpose was to live up at Joe and Heather’s and catch mice in the barn. However, Matt and Abby thought we should just keep them at our house for a while.
They named them Old Dan and Little Ann after the two dogs in the book Where the Red Fern Grows. They say the yellow kitty is a fighter and is rough and tumble while the black kitty is more timid and scared. Apparently that reminded them of the two dogs in the book and so the kitties were named. (I just remember that was the saddest book I’ve ever read!)
Hopefully these kitties will earn their keep and keep us mouse-free all winter!
