The Next Day

Bonnie LarsonUncategorized

You know how I told you yesterday, that the day we poured concrete was gorgeous?  I mean, the sun was shining its ever-loving heart out.  The skies were a psychedelic blue, and we could wear nothing more than a sweatshirt if we wanted.  Of course, I highly recommended pants and long underwear, but those weren’t absolutely necessary.  It was just a beautiful day.

But this is what it looked like the very next day.  As in less than 24 hours later.  It was shocking.  It was dreadful.  It was appalling.  Who could have seen this coming?!

Oh, perhaps the weatherman who advised us that we would be in a blizzard warning the entire next day, but it was still shocking.  The wind blew, the snow came, the drifts rose.  It was nasty.

But we survived!

And today, the sun is shining, and the trees are covered in frost and it is beautiful out.

Oh the difference a day makes…
