The Sky Zone

After we watched Ashtyn’s cheer competition on Saturday, we met up with Martha, Aimie, Dana, and the rest of the cousins for a fun-filled afternoon. We did a little shopping, ate some lunch, and ended up at the Sky Zone.

I had never been to the Sky Zone before so I was completely surprised when we walked inside. It’s basically just one big, padded trampoline park. And oh the fun the kids had! Let me tell you, I was pretty tempted to try it out myself, but my better judgement won over and I just sat on the sidelines and watched.

This basketball hoop area was the place that almost got me to put some orange socks on and give it a try. I was really thinking I could show my sons and nephews a thing or two, but boy am I glad I stayed on the sidelines because Cody would have totally showed me up. I mean this kid was on fire. He could do a one-handed dunk, a between-the-legs dunk, a two-handed dunk; you name it, he could do it. It was fun to watch. The other kids tried it too, and they did a great job, but I must admit, Cody was my favorite to watch.

Aside from the basketball hoop, there were also two dodgeball courts. This was another fun place to sit and watch the kiddos. It was a no-holds-barred kind of dodgeball like we used to play at recess. It was not for the faint at heart. There were balls and kids flying everywhere. The kids loved it.

Then there was this “sand pit” area where the kids could jump off into the foam cubes. Tucker was great at this and could do flips and everything.

After an hour and a half or playing, the kids were red faced and sweaty and our time had run out, so we hit the road and ended up at our house for cake and ice cream.

We had a great day and it’s always fun to spend time with people you love.

Hope you have a great day!
