The Storm

The weatherman predicted we were going to have a storm tonight. And they were so serious about it that both boys’ football practice and game were cancelled for the evening. It was one of those rare evenings when we had nothing on for the night. So when I pulled into the driveway and saw this beautiful cloud, I had to take a picture.

And my pictures don’t do it justice. It was absolutely breathtaking.

And the best part was, it actually looked like it was going to miss us.

I looked north towards Joe and Heather’s house. The skies were stormy up that way, too. But again, it was a ways off.

Then I looked back to the west and asked myself the same question I’ve asked myself countless times before…

What on earth are those boys doing?!?

What?!

Huh?!

That doesn’t make sense. Why would anyone climb a barb wire fence in his underwear? (And I realize it is a woven wire fence, but it has one strand of barbed across the top.) Let alone, why on earth are you outside in your underwear?! Have you no shame? Where is your adult supervision?

Oh wait. That would be me. Never mind. Continue what you are doing. I’m sure it has a very logical explanation.
