Update on My Garden

With another slow day in the news, (ha ha) I’m sure what is utmost on your mind is, “How in the heck is Bon’s garden doing?”

Well, it’s your lucky day, cause I’m here to report it’s doing great.  And it’s in peak production.  Everything is ready to harvest.

So it was amazing the other day when Grandma Martha called and said she’d be glad to come over and help with sweet corn.  (Have I ever mentioned that I have the best mother-in-law in the world?!)

And, along with some other great helpers, we had quite a system going.

We would shuck the corn, feed the husks to the horses, and repeat.

We had happy helpers.

They did great.

And by the end of the day, we’d put up over 50 bags of corn.

I also have an abundance of green beans.  (I just need Aunt Carolyn to come back and pick them for me;)

Plus I have tomoatoes, onions, and peppers ready, which is awesome, because, for the first time in years, I ran out of salsa.  The tragedy!

Not for long, however.  We will be in salsa making mode for the next several weeks.  Hallelujah!

And my potatoes are ready to be dug up, too, but I forgot to get a picture of them.

So there you have it.  An update on my garden.  You are now current on the events and happenings in the world.  I’m so glad I could help.

Hope you have a wonderful day!
